Is a bicycle seat not good for your prostate?
I have a small seat on my bike. I have no discomfort, but I seem to need to go to the bathroom more often then usual. I know they sell seats that help this.
Should I buy 1?
Our Answer:That's a great question and one that creates a lot of debate as you can see by some of the responses below. We are not doctors so we won't try to answer it, but what we can offer is our experience from being involved in the sport of cycling for many years.
The short answer is maybe. Some people report significant issues with a number of different saddles while others report no problems with their bicycle saddles. I think you need to pay attention to what your doctor tells you and make sure you listen to your body.
Any numbness or pain is cause for concern as a bicycle saddle shouldn't create pain, unless maybe you are simply a new rider that has to get used to the stress of riding.
Let's see what everyone else has to say on the subject.

There have been many medical reports on this, and the factors are all about Comfort and Riding Position.
If you are sitting too heavy on your saddle and feel discomfort after only a short time-then chances are you need to set up your riding position better.
There are good saddles on the market now that have a Cut-away center-thus removing the part of the saddle that presses onto the Perineum(and Prostrate).
I have only switched recently to this new ergonomic saddle and have only noticed minimal change in Long term comfort.
yes get a better seat, however any type of exercise and bouncing about is good for the prostate which is called the Chamber of Essence in Oriental Medicine. due to long hours of sitting with no movement prostate cancer is called the Monk’s Disease. The prostate is fed good chi by the Governing Vessel as well as Kidney flow….
No experience.
