Selle Italia SLK Gel Flow Women’s Bicycle Saddle
I've said it before and I will say it again, I love Selle Italia saddles and the SLK Gel Ladies saddle is no different. This saddle just looks like it's going to be great, if you know what to look for that is. Many beginning riders will look at this type of saddle and think that the lack of padding and cushion will make these types of saddles uncomfortable to ride, but most experienced cyclists know that simply isn't true.
In fact, an experienced cyclist will know that a minimal amount of padding, combined with a great design is the real answer to comfort. The Selle Italia SLK Gel has that. The independent rear design allows a very high level of "flex" to the wings and allows the saddle to conform to you, rather than you conform to the saddle. The wings flex as you pedal but still provide support and the gel cushion is just right. Not too hard and not too soft.
Combine all this with a well designed anatomical cutout and you have a winner. My wife has ridden this saddle on her Bianchi for a couple of years and she's a big fan of this saddle and won't use anything else now. The ladies version of the SLK has different geometry than the men's version, it measures 145mm wide and 265mm long as opposed to the normal 135mm by 278. If you're looking for a comfortable and sexy bike saddle with a long heritage of cycling in it's bloodline, then give the Selle Italia SLC Gel seat a look.
