The Terry Cite Y Gel Comfort seat is designed specifically for the recreational rider who is looking for a comfortable saddle for a bicycle that they do not spend all day riding.
A comfortable layer of gel across the top gives an additional level of relief to the padding offered by the Terry Cite Gel and this saddle is designed for a rider who rides nearly upright on the bike with the majority of their weight bearing down against the saddle. It is also a great saddle for riders who experience a significant amount of back pain with other saddles as well.
The Terry Cite Y Gel Comfort seat features a completely seamless and heavily contoured top with the traditional Terry cutaway that is designed to reduce pressure on the Perineum. The perineum is the delicate soft tissue area between your groin and your rear end. This area is frequently a source of discomfort with recreational riders who have not conditioned their groin to hours on the bike.
The Terry Cite Y Comfort bicycle seat features shock-absorbing elastomers molded into the saddle base that are designed to create the same effect that springs would offer but without the mechanical device of a spring. It is a much lighter and more efficient design than a spring based seat.
These polymers also help to eliminate road vibrations saving your back the pounding that a more firm road saddle can transmit. The Terry Cite Y offers it's rider an incredible value for the complexity involved in construction. Made in Italy.
My husband loves his new bike seat (a welcome relief after 2 herniated discs in his back.)
Top Notch

I am 6 ft, 230 lb and it is difficult to find a saddle to support my large behind. I use this on an English 3 speed commuter type bike with an upright riding position, and I can say without a doubt this is the most comfortable saddle I have ever owned. So far the most I have used this was 16 miles in a day and my rear was not sore, my legs didn't chafe and the crown jewels didn't go numb. 5 Stars.
good for the price but not leather

I have Terry seats on each of my three bikes. This is an excellent design and comfortable, however the price keeps going up. I got my first one, leather, in 2001 for $24, another leather one in 2005 for $40 and my first Cite Y (artificial) in 06 for about $30. It lasted only 2.5 years even though I use it less than the others which are still fine. It cracked, so I bought a replacement -- $40. I would have preferred a leather one, but at $80, it costs more than the bike (which I got used). A good product, but high in price and not as durable as I would like. (I weigh 180lbs, so the short life-span is probably not due to excessive weight).

We were looking for a seat that had more gel cushion then this one. This is just your basic bike seat.
